"Guntur Kaaram," directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starring Mahesh Babu, had a respectable run at the box office in 2024 for Sankranthi, however it didn't live up to fans' expectations. Fans are left to speculate about what could have been, despite the fact that Sreeleela ended up playing the major role in the film.
Pictures of Pooja Hegde during her time shooting "Guntur Kaaram" before she left the production have gone viral. Some have speculated that the plot may have been different if Pooja had played the key role, as one photo even shows her with Sreeleela and Mahesh Babu.
There were no disagreements or creative differences that led to Pooja's departure. Producer Naga Vamsi said that the adjustment was due to a simple scheduling problem. The original release date was August 2023, but it was rescheduled to January 2024 since Pooja had already committed to another Hindi film on that date.
Due of scheduling conflicts, Pooja had to make the tough choice to resign. There was a great deal of needless uproar around this judgment," Naga Vamsi went on to say. Our original release date was August, but we shifted it to January. We had to find someone to replace Pooja since her other obligations could not be changed.
Sreeleela was elevated to the main character and Meenakshi Choudhary was cast in the supporting role as a result of the rescheduling. Even though "Guntur Kaaram" was a hit with Sreeleela, the newly discovered images have fans wondering what would have happened if Pooja Hegde had directed the feature.
